Jamaal Clinton is a Philadelphia native. He always had a creative bone in his body, whether it was in modeling, acting or fashion, the arts was and continues to be his passion. His creativity began in church, when he was a little boy, singing on the choir or bringing down the house by playing the drums. As he grew into adulthood, his  passion for fashion grew as he took pride in what he wore and how he displayed patterns. Jamaal Clinton’s passion and strength is driven by his late mother. His mother was his rock, encourager, heart, and a phenomenal fashionista.  

In 2017, Jamaal Clinton decided to fulfill his purpose in the fashion industry. The idea behind his brand name derived from two of his favorite icons. From that moment, the brand name Elyiott Shakur captivated his mind and he began crafting his vision. Jamaal Clinton’s unique style is thoughtfully designed from inspiration. He has an innovative eye for patterns and colors that compliments one another. Jamaal Clinton made his dream a reality. He created something out of nothing and turned nothing into something.
